First Christmas 2022 – Streamstown, Alberta
Christmas Eve arrived; Sarah and Payton were all geared up in the spirit of the season with their elf onesies! Lisa put together an awesome charcuterie board display paired with a wonderful prawn ring for Christmas Eve dinner. It was simply delightful! I “believe” we watched Polar Express as the movie choice this year. (did you get it?)
Christmas Eve was enjoyed by all but with much anticipation of what the big guy in a big red suit was going to bring everyone…..
First Christmas morning on the homestead was awesome. Kids loved Christmas, Dogs loved Christmas, Parents loved Christmas, and the weather made it simply magical. We had a snowfall on Christmas Eve so fresh snow on Christmas morning was very nice. Everything was looking spectacular, the tree, the gifts, and of course the coffee with BAILEYS! Yep, no Christmas morning is complete without the Baileys making a solid day long appearance!
After the wonderful gift opening, breakfast was on the docket with some classic peameal bacon and french toast. After Breakfast, Lisa and I parked in front of the TV for the Packers Christmas Day game where they miraculously pulled off a win in sunny Miami against the Dolphins. (a nice Christmas gift for the ownership of course)
It was a football kind of afternoon and Lisa prepped a wonderful turkey dinner with all the fixins. YUM! Lisa always does a fabulous job on the holiday dinners, nothing short of perfection!
Needless to say here are just a few pics from Christmas and the first of many in our homestead was amazing. A winter wonderland outside and toasty on the inside; almost sounds like the conclusion in the Grinch movie!
(By the way, if we missed you when saying thanks for the Christmas Cards you sent, Thank You!)
