Our Guardians

We have 3 furry guardians. Two that moved with us from BC, and a third who is new to the family. Doug the dog is Sarah and P-Dawgs pooch and of course Colin and Lisa brought Sam the twitchy cat! What these two did not realize is that we would be adding a puppy to the mix. YEP, that white pooch you may have seen in our Instagram photos is Luke!

Luke is a mix of Maremma/Pyrenees/Collie and is expected to be between 120lbs and 150lbs when fully grown. He is a BIG pup right now. We did luck out as he is a very smart dog with tons of instinct. He will even bark at the leaf blowing in the wind if it is not yellow enough to fall. How smart is that!

Named Luke simply because Colin wanted to say…..  Luke, use the force! & Luke, I am your father! and of course when he is in training, “the ability to destroy a planet is insignificant next to the power of the Force”. (hehehehe, thinking we have a Star Wars Marathon in our near future)

Doug and Luke our k9 guardians get along amazingly. They play together, guard together, and it is like follow the leader most of the time. We are still getting Luke used to Sam, who he thinks is good to chase.

Guardians Job Descriptions

Dougy Dougy Doug Doug:
Notify us when Sarah is home, and then follow her everywhere leaving her no personal space at any time. Bark at the wind and then look for a treat as a reward for protecting the house.

Sam:
Create chaos in the house when possible including knocking on doors of rooms he wishes to enter. Be super needy and always want scratches with belly rubs. Antagonize the dogs whenever possible and be a real threat to any bugs entering our domain.

Luke:
Grow Up. Protect our domain. Acquire endless treats of course!

We are pretty sure that these furry guardians will have a ton of adventures. Keeping up with them all will be a challenge but the joy they already bring kinda makes you wanna drink! 🤣
